The Truth About Abs - Is it a scam?

I recently came across an incredibly popular weight loss program called "The Truth About Abs". It claimed to help you burn away inches of fat and get you into great shape. This sounded to good to be true. A trusted friend of mine said its what greatly helped him and his wife get toned, so I decided to try it out. After evaluating the program I have come to a very surprising conclusion. Before we get to that though, lets read a little on what the site claims.
The below is an exert from the website;

I can confirm that this is not an exaggeration. The program was so well put together I wish I could buy one hundred copies and send them to every other person who has ever tried to write a book on weight loss. 

Between my friend, his wife, and me, we lost a total of 146 pounds.  I can now see my abs! Yippe!

What really made me decide to buy it was the fact that they offered a trial. I only had to pay the equivalent of two cups of coffee (about $5) to try it for 21 days. I was so happy with the results, I bought 2 copies just to help support the amazing author!

Worst Fitness/Weight Loss Scams Of 2011

As this year draws to an end, lets reflect upon these fitness and weightloss scams that wasted thousands of consumers hard earned money.


1. Shakeweight - 2-5lb weight that, when shaked, is suppose to melt away your body fat.




2. Acai Berry - Weight Loss Supplement, usually in pill form. 




3. Ab Toner - A belt like contraption that claimed to burn fat and giving you raging abs with no work using "pulses". 



4. Weight Loss Creams - Creams and lotions that claimed to help burn fat off of particular parts of the body. 








These are just some of the many scams this year. Remember - if it sounds to good to be true it probably is.

Stop! Dont pick up that cookie! 3 Amazing Ways to avoid the crave.

One of the simplest tricks to losing weight and feeling better is eating smaller, healthier meals throughout the day. The problem with this is that people who are used to eating alot of unhealthy food randomly throughout the day have a hard time saying no to that unhealthy in between meal snack. Here are some great tricks to help you say no to picking up that cookie!


1. Chew Gum! 2.5 Calories.
Chewing gum is a great way to satisfy your tastebugs  and convince your brain you dont need to eat more.


2. Drink a diet pop!  0 Calories. 
While I dont recommend doing this alot due to the unhealthy artificial sweeteners, I guarantee you it wont hurt you near as much as that 400 calorie cupcake. 


3. THROW THE JUNK FOOD AWAY. 
I dont like wasting food. I hate it. But the junk food thats making your body terminally ill and greatly shortening your life isnt going to benefit anyone. The best way to get rid of the temptation is to throw it away. (or donate it to a local food drive)

Lose Weight, Feel Great.





Over the past decade, much mysticism and confusion has built up over the topic of losing weight. While its by no means a walk in the park, its definitely not what most people make it out to be. 


Simply changing your diet to smaller portions and healthier food can shed a surprisingly amount of weight. In future posts I will talk about why junk food is so addicting and methods you can use to overcome junk food addiction. A precise diet will be 75% of your success.


Dont get me wrong, exercise is very important. Preforming an activity as simple as walking can greatly decrease your risk of heart attack and help you lose weight. Walking only a mile a day would burn an extra 36,500 a year. Exercise will be 25% of your success.


Losing 10 pounds a week is a very reachable goal, but it requires astounding commitment. You have to really want it to achieve this. But you can, and probably will, do it.
